Martin Scorsese's Hugo, the last installment of Harry Potter movie and The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, bagged top awards at the Art Directors Guild Awards, on Saturday.

Scorsese's 3D adventure won the coveted prize for best production design in a period film, beating competition from fellow nominees The Artist, The Help, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy and Anonymous, the Daily Express reported.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 was awarded with best production design in a fantasy film, while The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo bagged the award for production in a contemporary film.

Kate Winslet's acclaimed turn in TV mini-series 'Mildred Pierce' helped the show in getting the award for best production in a TV movie or miniseries and Boardwalk Empire was honoured with the one-hour single camera television series.

The Art Directors Guild Awards, held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, California, USA, celebrates excellence in production design and art direction. (ANI)
