Former Detroit Lions offensive line coach Ron Prince is joining Jim Harbaugh's coaching staff at Michigan, according to reports.
Prince was part of head coach Jim Caldwell's staff in Detroit that was let go after the 2017 season. Prince will be an offensive analyst for the Wolverines, first reported by 247 Sports and later by MLive.com late last week.
Prince joined the Lions in 2014 as tight ends coach before taking over the offensive line. He also has NFL coaching experience with the Indianapolis Colts and Jacksonville Jaguars.
He last coached at the collegiate level in 2013 as Rutgers' offensive coordinator. He also had stints at Alabama AM, South Carolina State, James Madison, Cornell, Virginia, and Kansas State.
Prince replaces Ed Warinner, who was promoted to offensive line coach last week.
