The majority of individuals delay their estate planning until considerably later in life. Nearly 70% of Americans continue to lack a valid will. National Estate Planning Awareness Week, or NEPAW, was created by the National Association of Estate Planners & Councils in 2008 to raise awareness about estate planning. It is intended to assist individuals in understanding what estate planning is and why it is so crucial. It will occur during the week of October 17-23, 2022. It aims to raise awareness of the significance of estate planning and increase the need for people to create wills.
Assisting your donors in drafting their wills is a generous gesture. It represents your final opportunity of the year to promote legacy giving before donor focus switches to families, the holidays, and end-of-year giving. This week alone, our nonprofit partners secured more than $26 million in bequest commitments for 2021.
Our partners raised nearly three times as many donations the previous year by emailing their complete donor list compared to any other marketing method. Download the donor email templates via the form to assist your team in securing additional donations during NEPAW.
